1. Which session did you participate?

I took the session 5 and 6 on September 23, 2008. From 'Design and Implementation of a Secure Wireless Mote-Based Medical Sensor Network' to 'Designing Sociable IT for Public Use'.

2. What was the main contents roughly?

2.1 Design and Implementation of a Secure Wireless Mote-Based Medical Sensor Network

It's about to solve the security problem for small device which check the human body such as blood pressure and send to the main computer. I don't understand technical context.

But in question time, one person ask to her, "Why do attacker get the information from small device?" He said "Attacker don't want to get the information such as one person's blood pressure." After that I agree him, and her answer is not good, I thought(Because maybe I didn't catch the key concept of answer.).

2.2 An Empirical Investigation of Concerns in Everyday Tracking and Recording Technologies

I can't understand this presentation. I just know that credit card, store loyalty cards, webserver, CCTV is about the everyday tracking and recording technologies.

2.3 Reflecting on the Invisible: Understanding End-User Perceptions of Ubiquitous Computing

It's the research that meeting the end-user and study about useful and usable for RFID. I don't know exactly it is correct, but I heard a lot of concepts that I study in HCI lecture. Therefore I'm interesting about this. I'll read this paper.

I couldn't hear the other presentations because I was tired. After break time I moved to upstair and record the presentation. However I couldn't hear the voice. Also video has same problem. Therefore I don't know about session 6.

But I'm interested 'Designing Sociable IT for Public Use'. I thought the speaker said about usable. Therefore I'll read the paper.

3. Whom did you meet there?

I don't meet anyone in there. I don't know anything about that, so I can't make the questions.

When I participated the HCI conference 2008, I got the question, 'What's your interest?'. That time I can't say anything because I don't know about my major.

Of course I'm interested about artificial intelligence or virtual reality. But Professor Lee said to me, "You can study those kind of concept in a graduate school. and you're undergraduate. Therefore you study about all. Don't study one or two." So I don't know anything that things. Maybe.

And I can't hear whole thing because the official language is English. In summary, I don't have questions.

4. What's your general impression on the conference participation?

First time, I thought it is about HCI. But it is UbiComp. There are Wireless and other things about Ubiquitous. So I don't know the words.

However I heard the words that I studied in Human Computer Interaction lecture. Useful, Usable and qualitative. Therefore I was concentrated to the presentation, and I want to know about that.

In conclusion, I realized that If I study hard the lecture including HCI lecture, I can understand the paper and presentation, then I participate the conference actively to ask the question, talk about the subject like that.
